First steps

1. Make sure the iPhone is running iOS 17 or later.
2. Install the latest available GarageOS build.
3. Open GarageOS once while online, then try the action again.
4. If route information differs from organiser instructions, stop and follow the official organiser material.

Do not operate GarageOS while driving. A passenger should operate it while the vehicle is moving, or the driver should wait until safely parked. In an emergency, contact the local emergency services first.

GarageOS Pro and billing

The free download includes one lifetime trip creation on that device and one vehicle profile. Deleting the free trip, resetting the local driver login or creating another local login does not restore the one-time trip allowance. GarageOS Pro unlocks unlimited saved trips and vehicle profiles, the GarageOS Status widget and supported workshop Live Activities. Existing trips and vehicles remain available if GarageOS Pro ends.

Purchase or entitlement is not showing

1. Open GarageOS and go to More → GarageOS Pro.
2. Confirm the iPhone has an internet connection.
3. Tap Restore Purchases and wait for Apple to complete the check.
4. Confirm you are using the Apple Account that made the purchase.

GarageOS Pro is billed and managed by Apple. You can view or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account. Billing and refund requests should be made at Apple Report a Problem.

Widget and Live Activity

GarageOS Status widget

• Open GarageOS once after installing or updating.
• Confirm GarageOS Pro is active.
• Select the relevant vehicle inside GarageOS.
• Add GarageOS Status again from the iPhone widget gallery.

A temporarily offline widget may show the last valid non-sensitive update. Open the app to refresh authentication or GarageOS Pro status. The widget intentionally excludes customer names, addresses and telephone numbers.

Workshop Live Activity

Live Activities appear only for supported, current workshop jobs and reliable status data. Check that Live Activities are allowed for GarageOS in iOS Settings, then open the relevant vehicle or job in the app. Completed or cancelled work may end the activity automatically.

Protected events and routes

Check the access code exactly as supplied by the organiser and make sure you are online for the initial unlock. Access codes are event-specific and may expire or have a usage limit. Never publish an access code or include the full code in a support email.

GarageOS is a backup route companion. Official organiser instructions, road signs, closures and emergency services always take priority. Apple Maps or Google Maps may choose a route that differs from the organiser route book.

Driver login, organiser account and data

The local driver login is stored only on the iPhone. Reset Local Driver Login removes the saved local login but keeps route progress, vehicles and trips. It does not restore the device’s one-time free-trip allowance. Uninstalling GarageOS removes most app data from that device, subject to normal iOS backup and restore behaviour; a non-personal free-trip marker may remain on that device.

A server-backed organiser account is separate from the local driver login and from event access codes. Organisers can sign up without an event token, then verify their email before issuing driver codes. Use the in-app organiser account control to delete that account. Email verification and password-reset delivery require production email-provider configuration before live use. When enabled, account-security emails may be processed by the configured delivery provider (Resend). Contact GarageOS Support while transactional-email delivery is unavailable.

What to include

• GarageOS version and build number from the app’s information page.
• iPhone model and iOS version.
• The screen and action affected.
• The approximate time the issue happened.
• A screenshot only after checking it contains no private route data.

Never send your password, full event access code, Apple Account credentials, payment-card details, private route book or another person’s sensitive information.
