GarageOS legal
Terms of Use
These terms set out the rules for using GarageOS, including organiser routes, vehicle tools, connected event features and GarageOS Premium.
Last updated 18 July 2026
Important safety notice
GarageOS does not replace safe driving or official instructions.
A driver must not operate GarageOS while driving. Use a passenger or wait until safely parked. Road signs, emergency services, police, organiser instructions and current road conditions always take priority over GarageOS.
01
Agreement and provider
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and WPS Apps Ltd for your use of GarageOS. By downloading, accessing or using GarageOS you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The Apple App Store’s Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies to the iOS app. If there is a conflict, Apple’s terms apply to the extent required for App Store distribution, while your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
02
What GarageOS provides
GarageOS provides vehicle records, rally and event information, route cards, map handoff, fuel and checklist tools, protected event access, optional communications and location sharing, and supported iOS system experiences. Some information is bundled in the app and some may be supplied by an event organiser or third party.
GarageOS is a companion and planning tool, not an emergency service, vehicle diagnostic system, recovery provider, insurer or guarantee that a route, venue, booking, workshop update or contact remains current. Confirm critical information with its official source.
03
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must approve your use and any purchase. A local GarageOS account applies only to the device on which it is created and is not an Apple Account or a cloud account unless a future feature expressly says otherwise.
Keep passwords and protected-event access codes confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your device and for providing accurate information. Tell us promptly if you believe a connected event or access code is being misused.
04
GarageOS Premium
GarageOS Premium Monthly is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple. The App Store and the in-app StoreKit offer show the current local price and billing period before you confirm a purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled through your Apple Account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price displayed for your storefront and plan.
- You can manage or cancel through Apple’s subscription settings and can use Restore Purchases in GarageOS.
- Billing, payment methods and refund handling are managed by Apple, subject to Apple’s terms and applicable consumer law.
Premium currently enables unlimited saved trips and vehicle profiles plus the GarageOS Status widget and supported workshop Live Activities. Core route, navigation, fuel, checklist, safety and emergency tools, one saved trip and one vehicle profile remain available without Premium. When Premium ends, existing trip and vehicle data is preserved, but creating additional trips or profiles and using Premium system surfaces may be unavailable.
05
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use GarageOS in a way that distracts a driver or breaks road law;
- share private route books, contacts or access codes without authority;
- submit unlawful, harmful, misleading or rights-infringing content;
- attempt to bypass access controls, Premium checks or service security;
- interfere with the service or use automated means to overload it;
- reverse engineer or redistribute GarageOS except where law permits;
- impersonate another person, organiser, garage, dealer or partner.
We may restrict connected features where reasonably necessary to protect users, events, the service or legal rights.
06
Your content and organiser content
You retain ownership of information you create. You give us a limited permission to process information you intentionally send to a connected GarageOS service so we can provide, secure and support that feature. You confirm that you have the right to provide it.
Event organisers remain responsible for their route, venue, timing, contact and participant information. Content can become outdated due to closures, weather, traffic or organiser changes. Always check the latest official instructions before and during an event.
07
Third-party services
GarageOS can open Apple Maps, Google Maps, phone, Messages, WhatsApp, social pages, dealer checkout and other third-party services after a user action. Those services are independent and have their own terms, privacy practices, availability and charges. A link does not mean we control or endorse every third-party statement or service.
08
Availability and changes
We aim to keep GarageOS useful and secure, but availability can be interrupted by connectivity, maintenance, Apple services, organiser systems or events beyond our reasonable control. Offline information may be the last valid version and should be checked when accuracy matters.
We may update, add, remove or suspend features. If a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we will take reasonable steps to explain it and respect applicable consumer law.
09
Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by unsafe or unlawful use, failure to follow official instructions, incorrect third-party or organiser information, third-party services, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. GarageOS is supplied for personal companion use and we are not responsible for business losses unless separately agreed in writing.
10
Ending use
You may stop using GarageOS at any time and manage Premium through Apple. Deleting the app does not itself cancel a subscription. We may suspend connected features for serious or repeated breach, security risk or legal necessity. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
11
Law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available under the law where you live.
We may update these terms for service, legal or security changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. We will provide an appropriate notice of material changes where reasonably possible.
